DRY SAUNA:
The State of Vermont, Wastewater Division, mandates that since FIKA does not have an on-site wastewater system, we cannot offer water for creating steam on the sauna rocks or operate a cold plunge tub that requires water disposal.
We strive to honor the traditions of Finnish sauna while respecting Vermont’s environmental guidelines and the natural landscape around us.
We understand that löyly — the steam created when water meets heated sauna stones — is an important part of traditional sauna culture. While we cannot currently offer this feature, we are excited to provide a more natural Vermont experience with our pond cold plunge, allowing guests to connect with the outdoors in a uniquely FIKA way.
Thank you for understanding our commitment to creating a relaxing, authentic, and environmentally responsible sauna experience.
Snowy days make FIKA Sauna extra magical. Just remember: appropriate tires and confident snow-driving skills will help get you to our facility safely and smoothly.
Our 5-minute arrival and departure window allows our attendant to clean and keeps the flow comfortable for all guests. Arriving early or staying late can interrupt the next guest’s experience.
Please adhere to this guideline, thank you!
FIKA is located at 670 Economou Road, Huntington. Upon arrival, you will see a roadside sign marking the entrance. In the nighttime, this sign is illuminated by a solar light to help guide your way to FIKA. Please use the designated FIKA driveway, which provides on-site parking at the building. Note that the hill leading up to FIKA can be challenging at times, so we strongly recommend arriving in a vehicle equipped with appropriate tires.
