Spacious Changing Room

The spacious changing room offers a warm and welcoming atmosphere, thoughtfully designed to enhance the overall guest experience. Ample space allows for easy relaxation and preparation ahead of your sauna session. The room features comfortable stools for seating, a well-lit mirrored wall that contributes to the ambient lighting, and conveniently placed hooks for hassle-free storage of personal items. Soothing decor elements are carefully selected to promote comfort and set a tranquil tone for rejuvenation. Throughout the sauna building, a distinct Scandinavian influence is evident—harmoniously blending modern design with traditional touches to create an authentic and charming environment.

Lounge (Cool Down Area)

The sauna’s cooling lounge is a tranquil retreat thoughtfully designed to promote deep relaxation. Soft, ambient lighting enhances the warm and inviting atmosphere, accentuated by Douglas Fir beams, Hickory flooring, and black shiplap walls that lend a natural, rustic elegance to the space. Expansive windows provide stunning views and fill the space with natural light, while quiet nooks offer an ideal setting for solitude and reflection. Private Rear Porch

The rear porch at FIKA serves as a peaceful retreat, thoughtfully designed for moments of quiet reflection and relaxation. Nestled in a natural setting, it offers an inviting space to unwind either before or after your sauna experience. Comfortable seating allows guests to enjoy the gentle sounds of nature, fostering a calming and restorative atmosphere. Whether used for meditation, quiet conversation, or simply to take in the surrounding beauty, the porch provides a versatile setting that encourages connection—with yourself, with others, and with nature. As an extension of our sauna experience, the rear porch beautifully complements the sense of serenity and well-being that defines FIKA.

Why FIKA Sauna Has Chosen a Dry Sauna Experience:

At FIKA Sauna, we are committed to providing our guests with an authentic and rejuvenating sauna experience. That’s why we’ve chosen to offer a traditional Finnish dry sauna environment.

What is a Dry Sauna?
A dry sauna operates at higher temperatures—typically between 160°F and 195°F—with low humidity levels of around 10–20%. This creates a warm, soothing atmosphere that encourages sweating, promotes relaxation, and supports overall mental and physical well-being.

In contrast, wet saunas (or steam rooms) operate at much lower temperatures, generally 90°F to 120°F, but with very high humidity—sometimes reaching 100%. This results in a dense, steamy environment that some may find overly moist or even claustrophobic.

Why We Chose Dry Over Wet
At FIKA Sauna, consistency and comfort are our priorities. A dry sauna allows us to maintain a stable, clean, and relaxing environment for every guest. The higher temperatures and low humidity create an ideal space for deep relaxation, muscle recovery, and detoxification through sweating.

Additionally, dry saunas are cleaner and more hygienic. High-moisture environments can become breeding grounds for bacteria and mold, posing potential health risks—especially for individuals with compromised immune systems.

The FIKA Difference
By choosing a dry sauna, we ensure that every guest enjoys a safe, invigorating, and health-boosting experience that embodies the essence of authentic sauna culture. Because we have chosen a dry sauna format, we do not provide a bucket and ladle for pouring water onto the stones. This helps us maintain the optimal dry heat environment that defines the FIKA Sauna experience—pure, consistent, and revitalizing.
